Jean Boland
In my non-dog life, I served as the Vice President for Finance, Administration, and IT in higher education. For over 40 years now, my hobby has been dog sports and training. I have trained and shown in a variety of dog activities including conformation, obedience, rally, agility, schutzhund, tracking, and lure coursing with my Doberman Pinschers. I have competed in both the U.S. and in Canada and in the U.S. from Maine to Florida to Texas to California. Although I did not compete, I attended the Crufts Dog Show in England in 2007.

I trained the 3rd Doberman in the history of the breed to earn an AKC Championship and a Schutzhund III title. The Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA) is the AKC national breed club for Dobermans. At age 7, my Doberman won Best Veteran Dog at the 2002 DPCA National. At age 11, he won Best Veteran Dog at the 2006 national show held by the Doberman Pinscher Club of Canada. My Doberman was featured in an article in the May 2010 issue of the “Dog News” magazine.
I am truly honored that my Doberman is listed on the DPCA’s “Noteworthy Champions” webpage and in 2017, he posthumously received the coveted DPCA Bronze Legacy award for the noteworthy accomplishments of his offspring, including one daughter who was a certified human remains detection dog. Overall, my personal Dobermans have earned over 35 titles.

Dogs are absolutely amazing and I look forward to continuing to share my love of dogs, my love of training, and the wonderful and fun world of dog sports with others!
